Chris Shiflett is the newest member of the band after coming on board shortly after the recording of the band's third album, There is Nothing Left To Lose in 1999. Chris had previously played for Me First and The Gimme Gimmes, a punk covers band, and one of Dave’s favourite bands and friends; No Use For a Name.

Shiflett is also the frontman of his other band Jackson United, a name taken from the alias he used when playing for the Gimme Gimmes. Jackson United released a self titled EP and set out on the 2003 Warped tour which was quickly followed up by a short stop in London to play the Reading Festival.

Chris is an amateur boxer, but according to Dave, he was once beaten by a man with a gimp arm. According to Chris he is still on trial with the band is only with them because they let him, Chris also sings the lead vocals on the band's b-side cover of the Ramones song, Danny Says.
